the accounting boundary
pressure topology · how pressure concentrates, dissipates, reconcentrates · interactive
Pressure is conserved. A system can route it three ways — pay it now (friction), seal it off (divergence), or push it into the wider system (distributed). The cyan line is what the system's own accounting frame measures. The rose is the pressure sitting off-frame. The space between them is the liability no internal ledger is counting — until it reconcentrates and crosses back. A real coupled-pressure simulation, diagnostic not predictive — it runs in your browser.

configurations
Master variable. Amplifies mismatch generation and speeds the rate at which off-frame pressure can reconcentrate and become visible.
Rate of mismatch generated between model and territory — the raw pressure entering the system each moment.
How fast the system integrates rather than defers. High = adaptive (pressure paid now, bounded). Low = it accumulates somewhere.
Of the pressure not integrated, how much is pushed off-frame into the wider system instead of held as local divergence. Lowers in-frame cost without destroying the pressure.
How much the distributed pool can absorb before density crosses threshold. High capacity dilutes pressure below the line — real but dynamically inert.
The open edge. Whether diffuse pressure stays diluted or synchronizes and condenses back into a cascade — landing on the in-frame ledger it was pushed out of. The framework names this; it does not predict it.
